Celebrating the ‘Driven by Purpose’ expo — though the expo will be up and running from the 19th! The evening kicks off at 18:00 and features live performances by VIDEOCALL, SØWT, and DJ Nebur de Lyon.

20:15 – VIDEOCALL (Band) VIDEOCALL is a post-punk trio from Eindhoven, rooted in the vibrant Stroomhuis music scene. Their sound is an energetic blend of post-punk, guitar-driven indie rock, melodic bass, emotive vocals, and dynamic drums—delivering a raw, powerful experience.

21:30 – SØWT (Band) Eindhoven’s own SØWT brings the noise with their latest record Kids Hurting Kids, which mixes ‘90s noise rock with emo influences. Their live shows are a whirlwind of emotion, moving between frustration, existentialism, and raw intensity. With three unique lead vocalists and a legendary drummer, SØWT delivers a performance that’s unforgettable.

22:15 - DJ Nebur de Lyon  spins his records before, between and after the bands. Bringing a diverse vinyl set with rare grooves, rock, blues and soul.

During Dutch Design Week, the participants of Driving Dutch Design 2024 present: Driven by Purpose. 20 studios with various disciplines exhibit their work together. As a collective, they present a cross-section of Dutch Design.

WEDNESDAY 23 OCT: DDW (UN) OFFICIAL OPENING
We wanted to skip the busy weekend and celebrate the opening of the expo ‘Driven by Purpose’ on Wednesday the 23rd – even though the expo is already open. The night includes live performance by VIDEOCALL (band), SØWT (band) and DJ Nebur de lyon. Starts at 18:00!

VIDEOCALL is a post-punk trio from Eindhoven, emerging from the vibrant music scene at Stroomhuis. The band blends post-punk influences with guitar-driven indie rock, melodic bass lines, expressive vocals, and dynamic drums for an energetic and raw sound.

- 21:30 – Band: SØWT
SØWT is another Eindhoven-based band, known for their latest record ‘Kids Hurting Kids’ which channels a ‘90s noise rock sound fused with emo elements. Søwt’s live performances are a rollercoaster of emotions, oscillating between frustration, existentialism, and bursts of raw energy.

- 22:15 – DJ: Nebur de Lyon
Closing the evening, DJ Nebur de Lyon will bring a diverse vinyl set, spinning a mix of world music, funky grooves, rock, disco, and more. A night full of an eclectic range of sounds!

KEVN has been nominated for the Eindhoven Culture Prize 2024! ✨🏆

We have a chance at winning the Organisation Appreciation Prize. 🩵
The other two categories are the Stimulation Prize and the Appreciation Prize Individual.

The nominees have been selected by the jury of the Eindhoven Culture Prize. Over 200 people nominated as many as 51 different organisations, makers and initiatives. In making its choice, the jury paid attention to the distinctive characteristics and impact of the nominated parties. The Organisation Appreciation Prize is awarded to an organisation with a demonstrable record of achievement. @cultuur_eindhoven
