SAVE THE DATE: PASS THE BATON ‘ESTAFETTE #2-3’

Sun, 06 July : Wrapping up Estafette #2 and launching Estafette #3

As we close the second chapter of Estafette, we invite you to join us for Pass the Baton. Together, we’ll look back on Estafette #2 and welcome the new artist stepping into Estafette #3.

Join us for an interactive talk with the artists about their work, the upcoming residency, and the exciting possibilities for the next exhibition. Be part of the conversation!

Reflecting on Estafette #2
Estafette #2 brought together the artistic forces of Rutger de Vries and Johannes Langkamp. They embarked on a two-week residency & collaboration. Pushing each other beyond their artistic boundaries, they experimented with new mediums and techniques transforming our space into an open studio. Their journey and end results have been captured in a publication – made in collaboration with Chemistry Publishing – documenting their creative processes and discoveries.

Make sure to catch a final glimpse of the exhibition and secure your copy of the limited edition publication!

Kicking off Estafette #3
Now, we pass the baton to Dalal Mitwally and Leyli Rashidi Rauf both focus on the human scale in their work. They are interested in capturing stories of people through observation, conversation and research. Dalal engages directly with communities, transforming memories and local histories into murals that become part of the public fabric. Her work amplifies voices often overlooked, creating visual narratives that respond to their surroundings. Leyli turns more inward to explore identity, gender and the psychology of the self. Her meticulous drawings, paintings and installations are equally grounded in human connection. They both use lived experiences to inform their visual language, weaving together individual and collective stories.

How will their approaches intertwine during the residency? What insights will they gain from each other? And how will their work come to life within four walls of KEVN?
